WindGroove at CEDIA Expo 2026: When the Ceiling Became Part of the Experience

This September, WindGroove arrived in Denver with a simple question:

What if the ceiling could do more than simply sit above us?

At CEDIA Expo 2026, surrounded by some of the most advanced ideas in home audio, automation, lighting and residential technology, we introduced AirFi One, the world’s first Hi-Fi ceiling fan speaker, to a room full of people who spend their careers thinking about how technology should live inside the home.

Yes, that same question inspired us to create WindGroove. From the beginning, we have been dedicated to designing products that fit seamlessly into everyday life and become a natural part of how we experience sound, light and comfort at home.

For us, that made CEDIA the right place to start a new conversation.

Not about adding another device.

Not about making the home feel more technical.

But about bringing sound, light and airflow together in a way that feels more natural, more immersive and more connected to the space itself.

The Moment People Looked Up

There is something interesting about demonstrating AirFi One in person.

At first, people see a ceiling-mounted object.

Then the music starts.

The light changes.

The airflow becomes noticeable.

And almost instinctively, they look up.

That reaction became one of our favorite moments throughout the show.

Because AirFi One is difficult to fully understand from a specification sheet alone.

Its value appears when all three elements begin working together.

But our goal was never to place a conventional speaker inside a ceiling fan and call it innovation.

We wanted sound to feel architectural.

Present, immersive and capable — without adding another visible object to the room.

AirFi One integrates an 80W Hi-Fi audio system, tuned in collaboration with Jamo, directly into its ceiling-mounted form.

The result is a listening experience that feels less like sound coming from a device and more like sound becoming part of the environment.

At CEDIA, this difference was immediate.

Visitors could move around the space while the music remained present above them.

There was no speaker cabinet competing with furniture.

No obvious piece of audio equipment demanding attention.

The technology was there, but visually, the room stayed calm.

That balance matters deeply to us.

At WindGroove, we believe technology should be felt before it needs to be seen.

We designed AirFi One around this changing rhythm.

One of the most important ideas behind WindGroove is reduction.

Why CEDIA Was Important for WindGroove

CEDIA is a unique environment because the people attending the show do not only ask whether a product looks good.

They ask deeper questions.

How does it fit into the way people actually live?

How does it change the role of technology inside the home?

Those are exactly the conversations we wanted to have.

Throughout the show, we met integrators, designers, technology professionals, audio specialists and potential partners from different backgrounds.

Some approached AirFi One from the perspective of sound.

Some were drawn to the lighting.

Others immediately understood the value of freeing up floor and wall space.

But many conversations eventually arrived at the same idea:

This feels like a different way of using the ceiling.

That was meaningful for us.

Because WindGroove was never created simply to make a more feature-rich ceiling fan.

We started from a broader belief.

The ceiling is one of the largest and most underused surfaces in the home.

And as technology becomes more integrated into architecture, it has the potential to become something far more active.

A place for sound.

A place for atmosphere.

A place for comfort.

A place where technology can exist without taking over the room.

A Small Shift in Perspective

Some innovations begin with adding something completely new.

Others begin by looking differently at something that has always been there.

For us, AirFi One belongs to the second category.

The ceiling has always been above us.

CEDIA Expo 2026 gave us the chance to explore it in front of a professional audience for the first time.
